What is a Candle Diffuser?
Candle diffusers are often made of ceramic, metal and/or glass. I like to refer to those devices as ‘old-school aromatic diffusers’ however, they are a very effective way to naturally scent your home. A Candle Diffuser uses a small tea-candle underneath a dish. Tea lights are little white wax candles housed in a little tin. They can be purchased in most grocery stores, pharmacies and dollar stores.
To Use a Candle Diffuser:
Fill the dish with water just below the brim, add 5-10 drops of your favourite Diffuser Blend, light the tea-light candle. The warmth from the candle will heat up the dish containing the water and aroma.
Candle Caution:
Extinguish (blow-out) the tea-light before the water in the dish evaporates otherwise the oils remaining will sizzle and become very sticky in the dish.
To prevent the Candle Diffuser from breaking/cracking do not add more water to the dish when the dish is still hot. Extinguish the tea-light and allow the dish to cool-off before adding more water and your scented oils.
Do not operate Candle Diffusers where young children or pets might interfere in their operation.
Do not leave Candle Diffusers and tea-light candles burning when you sleep or leave your home.
